I would be an extremely happy guy if all of those come to pass

I think if you get to 30,000 posts it should be a picture of Gandalf with the tag line "you shall not pass" cause seriously, thirty thousand posts is just RIDICULOUS. I am 7 posts away from 10% of that lol

Thanks for posting, DR! Beyond these top dogs, everyone is doing their share. Lots of new members lately, great to see the forum so active after the lockout completely tranquilized things around here.

Hats off to all of you!

NYR9394 is still 6th all-time poster here. Seems like a long time we've heard from him.

What's amazing is the lead that Shoeless still has on everyone. I dont see him posting that much anymore. Maybe this is a byproduct of a larger user base here, but I do think he is posting less over the last couple years. He still a mile ahead of everyone.

Considering one Shoeless post equals two or three of a normal guys post, you have a shed load of quality/quantity there.

I know from tracking "milestones"... that some die-hard forum members have been able to throw down 1000 posts in a month, month-and-a-half timeline.

I'm pretty sure I have put out close to 3000 in this hockey season.
I remember feeling "stuck in the mud" while in the 4000s during the lockout. (if I recall).

That 10K mark is funny, because it's such an acheivement that I think a lot of people get there and it is their "wall". Boom, crash.

Also - there are phases in our life where we have a little better access to posting/computer time.
From what I've read about Shoe... he's way out in Cambodia or somewhere and I'm guessing he isn't sitting in front of a computer all day, but perhaps has a dedicated hour or two with a computer every so often.

The desk jockeys (like myself & Blayze) use this as our "break" from our work day... so I think you'll see both of us up around 15,000 in a couple years.

But Shoeless' post count is epic.
I always say it is "Gretzky-like".

Gretzky finished with, what... high 2000s in points... and the next highest guy is maybe high 1000s, I think.

Kind of similar to Shoeless being mid 20,000s in posts... with the next highest guy being mid 10,000s in posts.

    It's incredible... for sure.

Phases of our lives definitely factor into posting patterns. I'm a new home owner (moved into my house a year ago today) and during the lockout/fall/winter I had stopped looking to do work/additions to my home so I spent more time posting here. That is known to most as the trainwreck era. After the lockout ended I started writing for Fantrax in addition to this site which takes a couple extra hours of my time and now I'm booked for appointments every other day to get central air and deck quotes. So, the posting has slowed down of late.

I have a programming job so I like coming here when things are not working to just give myself a 5 minute distraction. Works well.
