Yeah, Letang has ventured into Bandaid Boy status but this is still a good deal as I like Staal well above Yakupov.

For pure offense I take Letang over Byfuglien, even if he has some injury issues. It's much closer in a multi-cat league, but here I don't think there's much question. In a win-now scenario I also take Staal over Yakupov. A few years from now (like 3-5) I'm sure Yak will be the better own, but right now it's got to be Staal. I think you upgrade both players here, so I'd go for it.

Given the fact that Yakupov hopes one day to be the player that E. Staal is already I do think this is tilted lopsidedly in your favor. I do think the D part of the trade is closer than people are saying. In a pool that counts 3 points/goal for D you have to give Byfuglien a fair amount of love.
Having said that I'd still do it. Letang has 41 points in 31 GP this season for you...a 1.32 PPG pace. Byfuglien has 41 points in 39 GP for a 1.05 PPG average.

Oh man, jump on that.
Staal/Letang all day long for me. It's not that close either.
Make this move, my friend. Like the others have said, Letang has definitely ventured into BAB-territory. But he is still a very valuable player when he is healthy (and even more so when Crosby is also healthy). Staal has also shows a return to form this year, and with growing offensive talent in the CAR system, we could be seeing a version of Eric Staal that more closely resembles the 100-pt Staal than the 70-point Staal. Either way, you're still getting a dominant PPG centerman and arguably the best Dmen (when healthy) in fantasy circles.

I'd get:
Letang
Vanek
He wants:
Byfuglien
Yakupov
seeing how dominant vanek is on the ice this year, is this still a good deal for me, no?

Vaneks point totals previous 5 seasons: 64,64,53,73,61.
He had 15 pts in 6 January games which account for most of his production. Sabres are in a rebuild and have lost Roy and Pomminville his former linemates over the years.
I'd pass, just because Yakupov has more upside/trade value and Buff has value in goal heavy leagues (15-20 goals x 3=45-60 pts, not even counting assists).

I would stay with Yak and Buff. Letang is a band aid boy as you pointed out and Vanek is very streaky. Seems to be awesome at the start of the year then cools off. One of these years Edm is going to be good and Buf is in rebuild mode.
