    We still have snow here!!!
Only person in Montreal with a sunburn was Price last night. That red light behind him was on so much he needed to find a spot in the shade (on the bench, out of the sun).

Last I heard was Malkin expected to play Wednesday. Key word is expected. I'm in the same boat as you with Malkin. I cut Neal loose last week but I'm banking on Malkin playing this week.

    from twitter:

Chris Nichols ‏@Nichols_NHLPool 57s #Pens indicate James Neal is now symptom-free. Evgeni Malkin is day-to-day w/ upper-body injury.
A quote I read yesterday said that if it was the playoffs that Malkin would have played on Saturday night, based on that I really hope he will be back on Wednesday.

Malkin the only forward along with 4 defensemen wearing black jerseys at practice today.

    Lines:
    Kunitz-Jokinen-Iginla
    Morrow-Bennett-Dupuis
    Cooke-Sutter-Kennedy
    Glass-Vitale-Adams.

No line rushes to verify makeup of lines.

Is it possible the Pens might play it safe and keep Malkin out a game or two? They have that luxury, as they've pretty much got the conference locked.

Pretty bad sunburn... maybe they forgot him on the roof of the hotel?

This is funnier than EJ's golf cart incident.

Q&A from a Pens Chat today with a reporter from the Post-Gazette:

    Comment From Jennifer
Did Malkin practice today? if not, timeframe?

    Shelly Anderson:
Yes, he did, although he and Dustin Jeffrey were the "spare parts" not on one of the four lines. Evgeni Malkin said afterward that he is dealing with a recurring problem (pretty much has to the shoulder) and that while he's not 100 percent now, he figures there is a good chance he will be ready to play Wednesday against Montreal.

It's pretty sad when the headline "Malkin is red-hot this week" becomes ambiguous.

This is killing me.. Final 2 weeks of the season and I'm in a tight race for 1st. Too much at stake to roll the dice on a "maybe" for the week. Would anybody take the chance on Malkin playing this week or go safe and dress Datsyuk for the wings 2 games? Tough call with a title on the line....

I'd go Dats as last time Malkin pulled this crap it was weeks before he actually played. I'm not even sure how much better he has been then Dats when he does play this season.
