Rest? Give me a break!! That's all he did this year was coast and rest!
I can't believe I will win my semi finals with Crosby and marchand on DL, Malkin and chiasson IN my current lineup.

Thank you ray Whitney and lundqvist for finally showing up!

Anyone think there's a chance Geno plays this week? This injury is literally costing me a title. No real updates since yesterday so if anybody can find anything, let me know... Thx.

I think that's what they've been doing with Crosby and Malkin. If the team were fighting for a playoff berth, division title, or home ice I think Crosby and Malkin would have returned. But the Pens ran away in the East. I think Sid and Geno will play one maybe two more games in the regular season as a tune up for the playoffs. While it sucks for us, and Geno sitting possibly cost me two championships, I think the Pens took the course of action that gave them the best chance for success in the playoffs.

I think that another very important consideration with Malkin is that he needs to get his game in order before his health is even relevant. I would expect Malkin to play at least a couple games before the second season in order to see if he can spark his game going into the 1st round.

He practiced fully on Sunday, so I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him play tomorrow night against BUF. In fact, I kinda think it's going to happen. Lets just hope that Letang's "food poisoning" doesn't become like Malkin's "sunburn."

You might be right, but Bylsma addressed this already last week, saying essentially that some guys don't need to be rushed back in to get their games in order (referring to Crosby, Malkin, Neal and maybe even Martin), and cited how well Letang did immediately upon his return. Health is the Pens overwhelming concern now given that they have the conference wrapped up, and Malkin is quite obviously the type of player that the Pens feel confident can step back in and dominate immediately.

Not saying those guys won't suit up before the playoffs, but I'd not bet on the Pens doing it simply to knock the rust off -- outwardly at least, that factor is getting zero consideration in the equation.

Pens morning skate cancelled today after traveling and playing last night. Malkin probably safe to sit tonight.

I just snuck him back in to my lineup tonight at the expense of Semin. Fingers crossed!
