    Default Brown/Voracek Top 30 player 2013/2014?

    14 team rotisserie

    Roster 2C,2L,2R,4D,2UTIL,2G,5BN

    Stats: (G,A,PTS,PIM,+/-,PPP)(W,SV%,GAA,SHO)

In this league will either Dustin Brown (LW/RW) or Jacub Voracek (RW) be among the top 30 players next year? (Today they are 36 and 29 respectively)

Reason I'm asking, I've got to keep one of them for next year...we only keep 3 and I have Ovie and Lundquist.

I'm surprised Brown is that high and Voracek is that low. Are those rankings weighted in favor of LWers (because there are fewer elite ones available)?

Normally I'd say that Voracek is definitely the one to keep, but given how poorly Brown has played this season and how well Voracek has played, I am starting to wonder who will be ranked highest in your league next year when Brown is likely to play better and Voracek's numbers are likely to drop (at least a bit).

I agree, without hits or shots, surprised to see Brown ranked quite that hit this season.

He's come on strong in the last few weeks. 8p in 9gms. Could have gave him a recent boost. Regardless, still funny to see him that high.

    Thanks for the input.

I should have been more specific, I need to know if are going to be Top 30 Players next year?

Reason is if they are not I'll try harder to deal for a top 30 player before our deadline.

    Thanks!!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't understand how your league ranks the players, if Brown is the 39th best forward in your league and Voracek is the 29th best forward.

If I had to guess, in most leagues Brown is much lower than 39th and Voracek a bit higher than 29th (he is, after all, 15th in scoring this year).

Anyway, without a full understanding of your league's ranking structure, I will say that Voracek has a shot at being a top 30 player, but his current PPG pace is, imo, not going to be easily achieved by him over a full 82 game schedule and a more realistic expectation for him would be 70 pts. Would 70 pts make him a top 30 player? Well, if he is only the 29th ranked player in your league right now (with PPG numbers), I'd say probably not.

I think no, neither of them will be top 30 players.

Neither of them will be top 30 because I expect Voracek's points to drop to a more reasonable 60-70 point range but Voracek > Brown for sure at the very least. Especially if there are HITS is not a category.
