"Strictly Business": Cory Schneider has been all business as of late. He posted his 5th SO of the season last night. That's 4 shutouts in the last 9 games! What's quicker than a cheetah and faster than a speeding bullet? ... Roberto Luongo's exit from Vancouver, that's what.


"Jagr Bomb": 2As for Jags. That brings his season total to 29pts (15G,14A) in 35GP. Not had for a 41 year old. The guy is unreal. He defies age.


"He did the Monster Nash ": Tack on 2 more goals (16,17) for Rick Nash. He has 7pts in the past 5 games and 35pts in 34GP on the sewson. I guess he likes big city life. How long before we see Nash hanging with Jeter and Jay-Z?




Killing Them SOFTLY:


Derek Stepan: Another 2pt performance (1G,1A) from Derek Stepan, bringing his total to 33pts in 39p. This is what they call a BREAKOUT season! If you saw this coming as played out, my fantasy scouting department will be accepting applicants until next season.

Joey McDonald stopped 39 of 40 to finish the night with .975% and. win.

Kessel: 2G,1A last night. JVR also added 1G,1A as well.





Duds

"A Natural Disaster": It seems losing for the Hurricanes has become 2nd nature. They have a 5 game losing streak:

4-1 loss to Mtl
5-3 loss to Was
5-0 loss to TB
4-1 loss to NYR
6-2 loss to Bos

Car has lost 12 of the last 13 games. With the way they're losing, maybe they need to consult our resident oracle Bubba:

This is a collosal collapse folks, even for a Ward, Faulk-less Hurricane team.

"Clawed by Claude": He wasn't scratched but he may as well been. Seguin had a poor faceoff game in Jagr's debut and then finds himself put back on his old, familiar position of wing witb one catch - a demotion to the 3rd line! Us Seguin owners envisioned Seguin and Jagr connecting and putting up POINTS. Instead Gregory Campbell reaped the benefits of a banished Seguin. I believe this will pass as Boston gets healthy, but them crushing Carolina the way they did may have lingering effects instead of a quick return to where he needs to be.

"No Kidding!": The Oilers fall to Anaheim 2-1. The Kid line of Hall/RNH/Ebs combined for 7 shots and a -2. Hall had 5 of those shots. Hopkins and Eberle need to seriously man up.

Enjoyable read. And thanks for atleast giving Hall most of the credit for that line of late. While RNH could use the excuse of Sophmore slump...what's Eberle's excuse.

Make room for Yak and slip Horcoff/Gagner between them. Let's try that crazy line out for a change.
