How many games must be played for prospect skaters to be considered part of your 20 man keeper roster?
OK, so I have three goalies currently on my roster in Bryzgalov, Price, and Niemi. Price is a 100% keeper and I'm leaning towards making Niemi one of my other 20 keepers. I was leaning towards making Markstrom another of my keepers; however, my dilemma is he is going to play his 25th NHL game soon making him ineligible to stay on my minor league roster. I am leaning towards dropping Bryzgalov if Markstrom ends up hitting the GP mark (he's at 22 now).
I'm going for the win this year. The playoffs are currently underway. The four goalies stats over the last three weeks are below...
Price - 50.6 points - 5.62 ppg
Niemi - 67.9 points - 6.79 ppg
Bryzgalov - 53 points - 5.89 ppg
Markstrom - 60.4 points - 8.63 ppg
It seems pretty easy, am I overthinking this?

I like Markstrom over Bryz. Higher upside IMO and I despite Florida being in the cellar, they're really not playing bad hockey right now (5-5 in their last 10). Who knows what the heck will happen with Bryz at the end of this year, especially if he lays a few more eggs down the stretch. But take my thoughts for a grain of salt since I might have some slight bias, as I hold Markstrom on my team...

Thanks Two, I have no doubt moving forward I'd rather have Markstrom. I just needed some comfort that, if JM hits 25 games, that going from Bryzgalov to Markstrom isn't too much if any fall off for the rest of this year.

I agree as well. Bryz's future is up in the air and Philly has a crappy D atm too. Markstrom certainly looks better long term and arguably right now as well.

Thanks guys...we'll see how the rest of this season goes and if the decision becomes necessary (likely), I think I know which direction to go.

It's a shame you couldn't have traded Bryz. I doubt anyone picks him up after you drop him with a possible buy out looming. Dude may really be back in Mother Russia.

I tried desperately to move Bryzgalov but no one had real interest.
