I agree that it comes down to either Eller or Tanguay.
You know what to expect with Tanguay (.75 pts per game plateau), and with no supporting cast, I don't really think he can reach those numbers in the next coming years.
That being said, I've seen Eller play at the Bell Center this year during numerous games and every time, he amazes me. He has great upside for the Habs and the coaching staff is starting to trust him more and more (PP, top line duties, end of game shifts...). If they trade a center in the offseason or if he can be converted to a winger eventually, his production will rise greatly as he deserves to be on one of the top two lines in Mtl. Right now though, he hovers from line to line due to several injuries and the team's great depth up front.
With the roster you have, I think you can afford to gamble on the current minimal difference in points between both players and hold onto the younger and more promising one.
