    Default Fleury vs Schneider

I currently have both but can only keep one at the end of the season.

I have an offer of Varlamov +1st round pick for Fleury.

In our league, the entire first round is decided by lottery... 1st position has 1 ticket, 2nd position has 2 tickets, 3rd has 3 tickets, etc. in the lottery and every drafting position is decided that way.

The offer is coming from the 13th team (so 13/120 tickets). So this would give me good chances (but only chances) to get one of the top 5 picks in the next draft!

Varlamov would be a location for the rest of the year only... How big is the gap between Fleury and Schneider ? Is the 1st round pick enough ?

I like that deal as long as it doesn't kill your competitiveness for this year. Would much rather keep Schneider than Fleury for sure.

What's the market for sneakily productive backup goalies. Schneider over Fleury long term seems like the way to go and considering Fleury's injury situation you don't lose much in the short term trading him either. I just wonder if there's a way you can upgrade on Varlamov to keep you competitive now.

I think I'd rather have Fleury over Schneider with your league settings. Pens should be damn near the top of the wins column for many years to come, and while he has a lesser penchant for shutouts than many other upper flight goalies, the Pens also seem to upgrading their D to try and clamp down a little bit.

I can certainly see the argument for Schneider as Vancouver ain't no slouches out West, but without the peripherals (which is where MAF can sometimes slip for stretches in a season), I think he's gotta be right up there with the top goalies in your wins-only league format.

    Just my two pennies....

Schneider struggles at the beginning of the year lowered my confidence...

I'm really having a hard time trading Fleury away!

More opinions would really be appreciated!
