For what it's worth Berry Melrose (credible?) just said that he expects Crosby back sooner rather than later given the extent of the injury (no wired jaw etc) Not really anything firm, but always good to hear a glimmer of hope I suppose.

i imagine once its determined his jaw cant get injured further itll be all pain tolerance. unfortunately (for us fantasy owners) pittsburgh is 1st in the east, if they were battling for a playoff spot im sure itll be more likely for crosby to suit up sooner lol

No plastic surgeon (they are one who treat jaw fractures in Canada) but usually 4-6 weeks for small bones to heal, plates or no plates.

Risk is if you return early, and get major trauma, can refracture or get a new one at end of plate (see Gronk).

Wow, that's brutal. I thought it was a mildly funny joke, and certainly nothing worth getting upset over.

argh i see ok. 3 weeks is the beginning of the H2H finals so hes worth keeping still if he ever gets IR eligibility. I hope that bum Letang gets healthy soon so I can stash Crosby on IR haha

Don't joke around when it comes to Crosby... people around here don't exactly have the greatest sense of humour.

Crosby is out of the hospital, can't speak, and Pittsburgh will no longer be wearing their blue uniforms
