There's a chance that Kunitz could play on line 1 with Malkin and Neal.

You might be right, I had put "more" at first but changed it and didn't want to google search "bacteria and genitals".

I said start the concussion talk because that inevitably comes up with Sid all the time.

I wonder if the league will look beyond mandatory visors and to protecting the ENTIRE face after Crosby's mouth shot? If so, I hope they don't go with college cages. If it were to go down this road, they may have to follow the shape/design of a goaltender's mask to protect. Naturally, it would have to be a scaled down version of it.

Anyone see it going that far -- protect the entire face?

You think the insurance company (ies) would be pushing for this. It makes the product on the ice less aesthetically pleasing, but is clearly much more safe.

I hear you, Ross. Visors help, but sometimes you get Crosby'd by the puck or it travels up your face and under it. The goalie's mask complete protects the face without restricting vision, unlike the cages worn in college. They may really have to consider going that route.

They couldn't care less how safe it is. More dangerous = more claims = higher premiums.

There's no way they want to pay out the insurance claim on Crosby's contract, or any other major superstar. Their contracts are guaranteed, unlike the NFL.

I actually was a camp counsellor for a child whose father did the insurance for all the major North American sports leagues, not sure about NASCAR, but definitely the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. Talk about a profitable business to be in.

Doubt that makes as much as healthy star players like Crosby.

    Unhappy Dang

Crosby reminds me of the beautiful blonde chicks in high school. Always wanted to get them but when you do they are far from worth it.

I just spent $750k getting Crosby about six games ago. He is the most skilled offensive player in the league. But always screws fantasy owners with his brittle bone disease.

    Enjoy your soup kid !

    Iggy says "**** that".

Time for Kunitz to be exposed for the real player that he is.

Kunitz is a natural LW, Iggy is not. Kunitz is also the far better player right now, so not sure why you are hating on him here.
