Default Who to pick up long-term?

brodin, spurgeon, josi, wiercioch, muzzin, kindl

first 2 play with Suter. Josi plays with Weber. Wiercioch has taken over with no Karlsson. Muzzin has temporarily replaced Doughty. Kindle had a great plus minus.

All great young D. But who to make an impact in the long run? Thanks!

Josi seems to be taking over for Suter while Wiercoich just looks all around solid. I like him to play with Karlsson next year.

I like Josi the best. He's gonna be a stud.

Not sure if Wiercioch will turn out as well as many others have him pegged. He's had an offensive outburst over a very short period (something like 2-3 weeks) and that is way too little a sample.

I would be keeping a close eye on Muzzin too. I know he's been kinda cold lately but every game I've watched him play (including last night against the Blues), he's looked very very good. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up putting up 40 points with some nice peripherals as well.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Brodin is really the only one of the bunch I'm very high on. Josi would be second I suppose.

If you have to drop 1 of them Josi is the obvious choice to me.

Can you divulge more as to why?

He's a 19 year old playing on the top pairing in Minesota, and if you see him play a small sample size, he looks like he belongs. When I first read about him and comments that he was actually carrying Ryan Suter I was like "yeah right", and while i've watched 6 of his games since then and I wouldn't say he was carrying Suter at all, I can say he's done more positive things on the ice then Suter. Great player to watch in transition and the defensive end...superb use of the stick and positioning. High hockey IQ for any player, even a 10 year vet, but the kid's only 19. I have no doubt the offense will come in time.

This is the ranking I'd go with 100%. Josi's better now offensively, will be probably in the next 3-4 years, but Brodin will build up his offense. In the long run I'd say.

    Brodin
    Josi

    Wiercioch

For me long term I'd much rather have Brodin than any of those guys. Josi will be good but Brodin is special. If you haven't had the chance to watch Brodin play just watch him in action and I guarantee you won't even remember the other guys names once the game is over . It's not even close to me. Josi plays on Nashville so he won't be putting up major points. He'll have to compete with Ellis down the road for PP time too. Brodin will be playing with Suter, Parise, Koivu, Heatley, Granlund, Coyle, etc. Lots of goals will be scored. He really is amazing and i can't even imagine how good he will be in his prime. Brodin by a wide margin.
