    Default What's up with Shattenkirk?

It looks like he's still getting the PP time. Can anyone that's been following the Blues comment? Will he turn it around soon?

I think once Halak gets his $hit straight over the next week or two, the Blues will be able to settle down and play more to their pace and style. Something similar to that happened last year once Halak righted the ship. So look for Shattenkirk to pick up those points soon - it'll come...

exactly...his production is very much a by-product of team success (as with most defensemen) and because the team is struggling to score right now, Shattenkirk isn't putting up the points

I'd be more concerned if his ice time and PP time were being cut

the Blues have scored 9 goals in last 5 games.... not many, so all the blues players are not scoring and producing, they will turn it around for sure but they play 6 of their next 8 games on the road...

so something needs to happen or they will struggle for awhile!!!!

That's kinda what I was thinking. 8 straight doughnuts is definitely cause for at least a little concern though. My H2H playoffs start next week, so mostly I'm just wondering if I should be considering benching him..

I guess it depends who you'd be benching him for and if you are able to activate him later when he (the Blues) picks up his play.

For example, I'm in the 2nd week of my H2H playoffs right now and I benched Shattenkirk this past week in favor of Spurgeon. I can re-set my roster each week, however, because I wouldn't want to roll with Spurgeon for the remainder of my season (hoping/assuming I win this week to move on to the next round).
