Thumbs up Best "bench" player-teams for H2H Playoffs ("Daily Roster" Leagues)

In most H2H fantasy leagues, the playoffs will be three rounds on the following weeks:
Quarter Finals: Monday Apr 8 - Sunday Apr 14
    Semi-Finals: Monday Apr 15 - Sunday Apr 21
THE Finals: Monday Apr 22 - Saturday Apr 27

In "daily-set" leagues, you can move your bench players into an active roster spot every day.
There is advantage in not losing a game due to conflicts of too many games.
So - which NHL teams play on those off-nights where you can avoid conflicts and maximize games (ESPECIALLY GOALIE STARTS)?

The following equation is used (based on information found on the weekly grids at dobberhockey.com).
SCORE PER GAME NIGHT = 16 - # NHL Games.

Therefore, if Calgary vs. Buffalo is the only game on Monday night, those teams would get a score of +15. (16 - 1). If there are 14 games on Tuesday night, those teams would get a score of +2pts. (16-14).

    Quarter-Finals (BEST-to-WORST teams):
    38: BUF, CGY, STL
    34: BOS, COL
    33: PHX
    32: TB
    31: CHI, NAS
    30: CAR, DET
27: ANA, EDM, NYR, TOR, VAN (M/W/Sat games)
    25: OTT
    23: CBJ, DAL
    22: NJ
19: LA, MIN, MON, NYI, PHI, PIT, SJ, WAS (T/Th/Sat games)
    14: WPG
    12: FLA

    Semi-Finals (BEST-to-WORST teams):
    38: BOS, CGY
    34: CBJ, MON
    32: DAL, NYR, STL
30: ANA, BUF, CAR, FLA, MIN, NJ, OTT, PHI, PIT, TOR, VAN
    26: CHI, COL, EDM
22: LA, NYI, PHX, SJ, TB, WAS, WPG (T/Th/Sat games)
    20: DET
    18: NAS

    Finals Week (BEST-to-WORST teams):
    38: CHI, EDM, PHX
    32: DET
    25: CGY, NYI
    24: WPG
    23: BUF
22: COL, LA, MIN, SJ, VAN
    21: TOR
    20: ANA, OTT, PIT
16: CAR, DAL, FLA, MON, NAS, NJ, NYR, PHI, STL, WAS (T/Th/Sat)
    15: TB
    10: BOS
    9: CBJ

TOTALS (Unweighted) for 3-Weeks of Playoffs
BEST: 101 CGY, 95 CHI, 93 PHX, 91 EDM, BUF... 86 STL,DET,COL,BOS,VAN,TOR,ANA,CAR,OTT,NYR 75... 71 MIN,DAL,PIT,MON,TB,NJ, NYI, CBJ, PHI, NAS, LA, SJ, WPG, FLA, WAS 57: WORST

Another way to evaluate teams is to "weight" the schedules, giving preference to the final week (45%) over the semi-finals (35%) and the quarter finals (20% - some teams have a bye).
    TOTALS (Weight 45%, 35%, 20%) for 3-Weeks of Playoffs:
    32.40 CHI
    32.15 CGY
    31.60 EDM
    31.40 PHX

    ...
    28.45 BUF
    27.40 DET
    26.00 STL
    25.80 COL
    25.80 VAN
    25.35 TOR

    24.90 ANA
    24.60 BOS
    24.50 OTT
    24.20 MIN
    23.80 NYR
    23.70 CAR
    23.30 PIT
    23.00 DAL
    22.90 MON
    22.75 NYI
    22.10 NJ
    21.50 PHI
    21.40 LA
    21.40 SJ
    21.30 WPG

    ...
    20.85 TB
    20.55 CBJ
    20.10 FLA
    19.70 NAS
    18.70 WAS

    GRAND SUMMARY:
Chicago & Calgary are looking like a great teams to own for the stretch run to get a few extra games and to avoid conflicts with other teams.
Edmonton & Phoenix (other West Coast teams) also have some favourable portions to their schedule.
Stay away from NASCAR cities and their teams. That's just a good, overall general statement.

Good luck to all in their H2H planning!

    Thumbs up

Good analysis! I tackled the topic a little earlier using a slightly different approach. I only looked at the rest of this week though (I like to cross one bridge at a time).
