Man, that's tough. I believe Varly is the way better goalie, but man, the Avs really do stink. With wins counting, I just don't see the Avs bringing a whole lot to the table...I think Ellis would take that category. But, how long until Ward returns?

Didn't Ellis just hurt himself too?

I think I take Varly anyways as he'll be starting about 90% of the remaining Avs games (Giguere was horrific with his rebounds tonight and another L).

    Either way....good luck!

Yeah pretty much this - Ward is still on the shelf for a month and Ellis is out for a week. When Ward returns he will get most if not all the starts. Varly will get the majority of time in COL, but they are sucking wind hard right now...tough choice but looking at those facts I'd go with Varlamov.

Avs stink but I don't see Ellis doing that well down the stretch...Peters was outplaying him before he got injured so it'll probably be 60/40 for Peters even when Ellis is healthy. And when Ward comes back....no chances.

Varly can steal games sometimes, and there's the chance the Avs could do better. I'd go with him.

I dropped Ellis a few days ago for Peters. There's only 4 weeks left, no time to wait for Ellis to pick up his game. It's not his year.
