Bob McKenzie was talking about the possibility on TSN a few days ago, so I'm not all that surprised, though I think Boucher is a great coach and I hope he gets another chance soon.
As luck would have it, I am playing a St. Louis owner in my H2H and, as normally happens, I expect him and the entire team to have a huge week in the aftermath of the coach's firing.

It kinda makes sense. He had that one good year at the beginning, missed the playoffs last year, and looks like they may miss the playoffs again this year. St. Louis only has a couple of year left of elite playing, so you can't afford to screw up these chances.
That being said, it's not Boucher who has failed to get a #1 goalie. And Hedman was on the ice for the first four Sens goals yesterday. What was he supposed to do about that?
My lasting memory of Boucher though, will be that game against the Flyers where Philly never left their zone for 20 minutes.

Boucher was an overrated coach. Way too serious, way too intense. Doesn't work. Yzerman is also an overrated GM and has done pretty much zilch during his tenure. Terrible organization right now.
I'm surprised to some extent but I find it telling about Stevie Y - he's saying this isn't good enough for this organization and it's time to do something about it. Good for him - bad for Boucher who I quite respect as a coach.
Bit unlucky ya know - they have a +6 differential in goals over their opposition and yet only one overtime loss to garner those cheap points in the standings - a league average of 3 OTL losses and the picture isn't quite so ugly.
