This kid oozes confidence and swag. Not surprised he busted his ass to get back ASAP. Without a doubt my favorite player in the league right now.

Doesn't look like he'll be back tonight:

    Bruce Garrioch‏@SunGarrioch3m
Wouldn't appear any changes on defence either which means Karlsson won't play. #Sens

Injured Ottawa D Erik Karlsson is participating in game-day skate, but early impression seems to be that he's unlikely to play tonight.

He oozes swagger. Swag is free stuff that you get at conventions. Please don't Bieberize the English language more than necessary.

I thought it was just player name misspellings you hunted down like Max Cady on Nick Nolte? Haha.

Wasn't the slang for swag 'stolen property' back in the day?

The origin I know of is that it's an acronym for "stuff we all got" (at conventions etc).

    swagger
    /ˈswagər/

    Verb

Walk or behave in a very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive way: "he swaggered along the corridor".

    Noun
A very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive gait or manner.

    Adjective
Denoting a coat or jacket cut with a loose flare from the shoulders.

    Synonyms
    verb. strut - brag - prance - peacock - boast - swank - vaunt
    noun. strut - swank
adjective. swell - stylish - chic - spruce

    ---------------------

    Swag
    noun
    1. Slang.
    a. plunder; booty.
    b. money; valuables.
    2. Australian. a traveler's bundle containing personal belongings, cooking utensils, food, or the like.
    verb (used without object)
    3. Australian. to travel about carrying one's bundle of personal belongings.

Swag is not the same as 'swagger'... Swagger was used correctly . Actually, SWAG as a usage for booty at an event is slang apparently... technically swag is a wreath according to dictionary.com

EXAMPLE: Wow did Dakkster have SWAGGER when he spoke about the cool SWAG he got at the county fair.

Side Note: This may be the ONLY time I correct Dakkster's awesomeness... that said, I will treasure this moment forever.

Now if you could just forward this to Justin Bieber and all the hiphoppers in diapers, you'd make me a happy man. Like I said, they have abbreviated swagger into swag and it pisses me off, especially when they bastardize it into #YOLOSWAG *shudder*

Considering "swag" is slang, I would think proper usage is determined by Bieber and friends, as opposed to the OED.

It could be argued that, by its very definition, slang falls outside the jurisdiction of the Grammar Police.
