    Mike Green's 2G 1A -1 2PIM 9 SOG 3PPP was 5-0-1 against my opponent's entire team last night. <cue Foreigner> Feels like the first time!

    Seriously - moderator, can we merge this thread with one of those old ones asking if the "Big 3" should be amended to the "Big 4" to accommodate Mike? That way the regression to the mean (ie sugar high crash) will be that much more grievous and ironic.

    Either way, I'm guessing I won't be drafting him in the 6th round again next year.

    Green finished red hot and must have made a lot of his fantasy owners quite happy.

    Weirdly enough I was mad that he scored goals instead of getting me assists. Need those As more right now!

    Well 2 months ago we would have been happy to see him playing, now the demands are obviously a lot higher ;-)

    Serious question to all Green owners. Is this the time to trade Green in the offseason and target players like Suter, Enstrom or Yandle, or should we stick with him, hope he stays healthy and so we finally get payed for having him on our rosters so long without getting any return?

    Enstrom has had his own injury problems lately so I wouldn't lump him into that group.

    But Suter/Yandle? Yes, I'd try to swap Green for one of them.

    I saw a couple teams with Mike Green do very well down the stretch in their leagues.
    Teams with Jake Muzzin... not so much.

    I wouldn't have won my league without Green.

    I'm mulling this dilemma over myself... He's a potential keeper, but he's expensive in my league... can't argue with his performance this season, but I've been burned by him so many times before...
    Limited Keeper - Keep 5
    Auction draft with a budget of $600. Whatever is left becomes your acquisition budget for the season. At the end of the season 50% of your budget is carried over to the next year.
    Keeper players are taxed +$10 for forwards with over 75 pts. +$5 for forwards under 74pts. +$0 for forwards under 50pts.
    D = +$10 for 65pts +$5 for under 64pts +$0 under 40
    G = +$10 for 32W +$5 for under 31W & +$0 under 15W

    (G) (A) 25, (+/-) 5, (PIM) 3, (PPG) 7.5, (PPA) 5, (SHG) 10, (SHA) 7.5
    (SOG) 1 (W) 50, (L) -20, (GA) -5, (SV) 2, (SHO) 50

    Prudent owner take notice:

    We've seen this song and dance before with Green, and the past 3 or so years have been a real struggle for his owners. Though it looks a safe bet that the offense is back -- and with a vengeance -- in the nation's capital, there's just too much downside to Green's situation. We're all familiar.

    It's time to capitalize on this "boost" in value, perhaps package the guy an try to get someone more *reliable* in return.

    Then again, if you like to swing for the fences ...

    Green was one of the reason i won this year. His bounce back was extreme. I think with the pp clicking in Washington again we're looking at a minimum 50 from a heathy green and 60 is my bet (hence my sig).

    That said a healthy Green isnt a sure thing either.

    No offense meant or anything, but I would keep dreaming on this extreme bounce back from Mike Green. It will require him to maintain his health over a full-82, and with the groin/hernia issues lingering that's something we can, at this point, almost guarantee won't happen.

    A healthy Mike Green is LITERALLY the furthest thing from a "sure thing."

    Marian Gaborik didnīt miss a game in the last two season, so it can happen that a band aid boy suddenly stays healthy.
    Of Course your words are true and Green can easily be a big disappointment, but if the owners use the hype to trade him now and it turns out that heīs back, we will all regret it. Itīs a really tough situation we are in.

    We could never get a better return again in his career but we could also trade away the point leading defender of 2013/2014.

    Nobody on the back end will outscore Erik Karlsson, assuming of course that he can stay healthy.

    The mike Green argument relies on too many assumptions, for instance:

    "Lets assume Mike Green stays healthy ..."

    "Lets assume Mike Green can stay confident ..."

    "Lets assume other players (Carlson, Orlov ...) don't cut into his role / minutes ..."

    "Lets assume Washington is back as an offensive force, and Green wil be able to benefit ..."

    ... There are just too many assumptions for me to really trust Mike Green as a valuable point-scoring Dman going forward. If it were JUST his health, it would still be a HUGE "what-if" for Green, but there are so many unknown factors that it's impossible to say he's back.
