Default Justin Schultz Has Been Awful, Drop Him?

Over the past few weeks he hasn't been racking up anything except a minus-rating. Lately even the shots haven't been there. What's going on with him? Growing pains? Is he hesitating joining the rush?

    These guys are available:
    Bogosian
    Muzzin
    Salo
    Garrison
    Bickel (goon, I need PIMs)

    Should I make a move?

But he's as good as Bobby Orr......

Seriously tho, I wouldn't drop him unless you dont have a choice. I'm assuming its a keeper as you have posted in the Keeper section.

Non-keeper, I cannot believe you waited this long. DUMP!!!!!!!

Ah, sorry...limited keeper. Keep one at -2 rounds from the draft position. I'm thinking Corey Crawford with my 12th rounder or Viktor Fasth with my 15th would be better bets than Schultz at round 8.

Having two Oilers is killing my +/- this year in Roto unfortunately.

Good goaltending is at such a premium. With 4 D slots and 2 G slots and 9 scoring categories to 4 goaltending cats, a guy like Crawford could go end of 2nd early 3rd. Top-tier dmen start coming off the board in the 6th, 7th and 8th round. So Schultz in the 8th may be a bit of a bargain but nothing compared to going into draft-day knowing that I have my G1 slot covered with my 12th or 15th rounder.

    I appreciate all the replies.

Even with valuable goalies, traditionally unless you have one of Lundqvist, Thomas or Rinne (not this year) the top 10 goalies fluctuate.

Look at last year Mike Smith, Brian Elliot were Top 5, and Kipper and Halak top 10..
This year Crawford, Bobrovsky, Fasth, Anderson were surprises in top 10.
Even Rask/Price have alternated between good and bad years.

If your goalies are a cheap keeper, sure go ahead, but don't be surprised if there performance fluctuates.

Very true. My god, look at Crawford's last year's numbers compared to this year lol. All things considered, though, I'll take the Hawks crease for next year with my late pick and maybe handcuff it with a later pick or watch the situation closely.

If I want Schultzie back I can overpay and grab him in the 7th or 8th where Edler, Subban, Suter and Yandle were drafted. As a virtual unknown in fantasy before this season I nabbed him in the 10th this year over with Streit, Goligoski, Timonen and Ehrhoff.

I use the term "overpay" because all the other guys have more of a proven track record. I'm really feeling his inexperience right now.

J.Schultz is probably just burned out.
How many games has he played this year? 60+?
Has he ever logged that many games in a year previously?

I would not drop him in a keeper for any of those guys listed.
    Period.
