Crosby Vs The World

I have essentially locked down Sid forever (given we don't create a keeper year limit).

I am very interested in having the Stamkos/St. Louis combo for the next couple years. I could potentially do the Sid Stammer heads up trade and gets some serious picks for next year, and some insurance players for the fantasy playoff run.

I am in second place and far ahead of third so first place is a big possibility this year, but I'm pretty certain giving Sid up in any circumstance is foolish.

I'm curious what the experts here think. My keepers would be Crosby or Stammer, St. Louis, Zetterberg, and Duchene/Benn (Keep 4).

In a deeper keeper it might make sense if you'd be getting other real high quality keepers back as well to boost your team's overall keeper production going forward. But in a keep 4 Crosby's value really is on a different planet compared to anyone else.

Also, to the extent that you believe in such things, by having MSL you're already getting a nice pull off of Stamkos' value given how frequently he and MSL are intertwined on a given scoring play. As if having Crosby wasn't reward enough in and of itself, it's nice to diversify and have 1 of your 4 keepers tapping into another near bottomless well of production on the best offensive team in the league (and it just so happens that you have the ultimate headliner on that one).
