Default What to do with Doughty

I have a chance a getting a first round pick next year for him, is this worth it for me or is he going to ever start scoring again?

    Please advise?

Agree with this. You need to figure out who will be dropped, and if a player available at your pick is better than Doughty.

Certainly Doughty is expendable given your D. The rest of your team looks good too but upgrades are always possible across the board and certainly your Centers are arguably weaker than the other positions. Personally, I'd be looking at the drops at Center, and if there is an upgrade to be had with that pick in dealing Doughty, then yes.

I would make the trade. I am one of the people who does not drink the Doughty kool-aid. His monster year was the anomaly. He is a 40-45 point Dman imo. I know the Doughty supporters will claim his playoff run last year was so awesome and he is young and so on and so forth. Fact is his real life value seriously outweighs his fantasy value.

Unless you are talking about the first or second pick in a prospect draft, this deal isn't a good for you. Folks are peeing on Doughty right now because he isn't really producing - we know he can and it will come back - perhaps not all the way but I think he will be a top 4 D point getter for you down the road mid to high 40's and that's worth a fair amount. "I would sit on him.

I made the Deal, I traded Doughty and my 3rd round pick for a 1st round pick, in this years prospect draft. Not Sure what number it will be yet but I now have two in the top 10 and its a lotto style draft. So here's hoping it turns out good.

    Thanks for the insight
