    Default Staal/Price vs Martin/Anderson...?

In a one year league, who wins this trade? I'm in first place with two weeks to go before playoffs.

My side: Matt Martin (hit city) - 164 pts
    Anze Kopitar- 118 pts
    Anderson (IR)- 113 pts

Would receive: Eric Staal - 149 pts
Dustin Brown- 140 (has been top 5 past several seasons)
    Carey Price- 131

Is it clear cut that I win this trade? I still have enough peripheral guys to hit, etc.

    Which goalie do I drop?

Your hits are weighted at 1 point? not .1?
    Yikes.

If those are the point breakdowns, I would take the trade.

Tough, with your goalie point system, I'd probably drop Bob.

Philly sucks but I still think they're going to win more than CBJ. (but that -1/g is mighty fearful with Bryz in net)

Hits are one point a piece. I'm up in the air on this trade. Like Price a lot over Anderson, but Martin is consistent points. With Brown slumping, it doesn't help and I'm afraid Staal is a sell high.

    I guess so.

Out of curiosity, who are the 3 most valuable players (currently) under your point system.

Top guys are Kunitz, phaneuf, Callahan, schenn, ott, Kane, etc. Basically guys I have. I'm really stuck on this. Any more help?

Any help guys? What side do I take?

As great as Price is, I have Rask and Bryz (who knows...). Bob has been a godsend lately. I'd have to drop a goalie to accept the trade and I hate not to get value for either Bob or Bryz.

    Still like the Staal side.

Kopitar hasn't been shooting this year, so in your league, his value diminishes. Staal is not a sell high imo; he looks good.

Matt Martin is a stud, but Brown is no slouch.

Finally despite his amazing statline, I would trade Anderson for Price.

I'm leaning towards that side. What goalie would I drop though? Hate to part ways with Brygalov despite his inconsistency but Bobrovsky had a shutout tonight and has put up big points even when losing.

You know I hate to see it because he's just won me the last two weeks, but drop Bob. With peripherals, he's golden. But I just don't see CBJ winning as many games as Philly moving forward

I'm leaning towards that as I believe he's on a hot streak.

Is the trade that clear-cut that I'd have the advantage? I really need to win the championship.

I'll accept it tomorrow because I'm trying to sell high on Bob and package him with Parenteau to snag Malkin...

If you can sell high on Bob and get Malkin, I would do that. I'm not a big fan of Bryz, never have. But if you have Price and Rask, Bryz as a 3rd goalie isn't bad. It just depends on the return you can get for Bob.

As for the trade, I like Staal,Brown,Price side mainly because Montreal will win more games. Anderson is having an unreal season but will it continue? I really don't think so. He will probably still post really solid numbers but not at the rate he is playing right now. Also, who knows how will he play when he gets back? Less question marks on the Price, Brown, Staal side, slightly more risk. To me, I think the certainty of Price (what he is now will be what you get) is the main difference that puts it over the top over the uncertainty of Anderson.

Kopitar, Martin and Staal, Brown is pretty close. Kopi/Martin's side seems pretty safe but also, note that Carolina plays 4 games each week the last two weeks of playoffs. Something to consider. Martin and NYI plays 3 a piece. That be something to consider as well.
