    Default Rask trade.. what do you guys think

    Wanted to get some of your impressions on this trade;

    Rask+Ott+ 1st

    for

    Hartnell+Codgson+Backstrom(G)+4th

    Categories in Sig, Keep 4 league.

    I was thinking the guy the gave up Rask gave him up way too cheaply. He's by far the best the player in terms of potential and actual performance this year. Plus he gave away his first next year, and he's one playoff spot out this year so there is no guarantee he'll make it with only two weeks left. So im not sure what he was thinking. Did he get good value in that trade? Or did he sell him too cheap?

    Hey...good for the guy who landed Rask. I have no time for the guy who gave him away...and added a cherry with the 1st rounder.

    Rediculous

    That's a pretty bad trade for the former Rask owner. I'd much rather have the Rask side.

    Thanks for the feedback, this just confirms my suspicion. The thing is the person thats getting Rask is the commissioner and he's my co-worker, and the GM thats giving away Rask is his long time friend. Im thinking that the former Rask owner is just propping up the Commissioner coz they tried to trade Yandle for Erat straight up at the beginning of the season to the commissioners advantage and I gave them hell for it so they vetoed it. But its starting to piss me off.

    Obviously a brutal trade, but I don't know that it proves collusion. If they were working together to help the commish's team, I don't know why they would throw in the 1st, it just makes it too obvious. Have you dealt with the GM who traded Rask before? It could just be that he's inexperienced, or plain not smart, and the commish is able to smooth talk him into those deals. Which isn't exactly ethical, but I don't think it'd be illegal.

    I'm in this situation in a few leagues that I am commish of, I have friends and co-workers in the league who are far less experienced than other people. I would never purposely take advantage of them, but I've had some offers where I could have.
