I don't see why the Blues are rushing to play Halak on both nights of a B2B.
Save him for the playoffs, Allen's doing fine.

And Halak blows the chance to re-establish himself as the starter stopping only 14 of 17...

Unfair IMO. The Flames-Blues game was 2-2 until the dying minutes of the 3rd.
They did okay considering the Flames were fresh...but it is the Flames.
Also, the Blues coaching staff. WTF. Why put Halak in on the 2nd night in a row when he's JUST come back? Makes 0 sense.

Although, I do hope you're right... for Allen's sake

Hope Allen gets another shot because of this. The only reason he might not is because they've got EDM again and Halak shut them out.

It was a bit of an aggressive decision for sure. Not sure what you mean about Halak just coming back - he's been riding the pine for a couple of weeks, not injured.

Should've been more particular with my phrasing. I meant come back as in returning as the de facto starter...not returning from injury.

I'm not, as my posts in this thread said.

The Blues have been giving Halak opportunities to take the job back and he's been solid. Halak has a save % of .931 since this thread was started and Allen hasn't been playing in many games. They don't want Allen to sit on the bench. They want him to start, even if it means in the AHL.
