Galchenyuk for me. He makes the NHL as a 18 year old and puts up great stats across the board.
Jonathan Huberdeau
Alex Galchenyuk
UH OH! It's the Cage Match Rookie Tournament finale!
If you've missed the action so far do not fret because you can still decide the ultimate winner.
The criteria for you to vote on are simple:
- No goalies
- No defensemen
- No positions
- Points only keeper league with one caveat - Don't be a perpetually rebuilding knucklehead. No one has ever won a fantasy league with just potential so value this season ABSOLUTELY matters. I cannot stress this enough.
Vote your freaking face off!
Galchenyuk for me. He makes the NHL as a 18 year old and puts up great stats across the board.

Hubs hands down--guy has no linemates, plays a bigger roles and more minutes than Galch, and he's already the team's best forward. No sweat!
Long-term: toss-up. Immediate: Huberdeau.
Huberdeau wins.

Hmmmmm hard one.
Le Québécois
or
Le Habs
Long term: Huberdeau because I think he can become a 250SOG+ monster with 40G upside
Short term : Huberdeau. Galchenyuk is barely playing 15 minutes a game and he isn't getting the same PP opportunities than Huberdeau.
EDIT:
Just saw it was points only, I'm still going Huberdeau!

I think Gally will prove to be the better talent long-term.
Huberdeau has the benefit of playing a whopping 5 more minutes per game (including almost 2 min more on the PP) than Gally and yet the differential between them is only a meagre 4 points right now, so its kind of laughable that some of you guys would be so easily swayed by Huberdeau short-term.
Of course Yakupov is way better than both of them

Fair enough, Shore and Mueller actually have some chemistry together.
You can't deny the ice time and overall responsibility that each player receives from their respective coaches--Huberdeau is already option #1 in Florida. Florida leans on him for offense, he's not being shielded like Galch., Galch is what, like 4th in the pecking order for the Habs?, and gets like 5 min less overall time per game and way less PP time too. It's not even close when you consider their development as of RIGHT NOW. Huberdeau DEFINITELY short term, and IMO long term too. Hoobie Doobie Doo!
Long-term this is a close call, but if I'm looking to win now I'm taking Huberdeau by a comfortable margin. As huge a Gally fan that I am he just doesn't stack up this season when you consider how much more ice time Hub receives.
