I benched him. Even in the best case he will miss one game and so will only have two this week.

    From ESPN:

Benn (wrist) is unlikely to play Tuesday against the Predators.

Spin: X-rays on Benn's wrist revealed no break, with Monday's news also clarifying that the hit that Benn absorbed Saturday did not result in a concussion.

That is good news, as long as he isn't trying to play through a concussion.

I gambled and left him in my lineup for the week...actually, I had a few too many beer Saturday night and came home past the lineup cut off time. Sounds like he may play tonight. I could use some points. Fingers crossed.

Jamie Benn (wrist) probably won't play on Thursday.
Benn missed Wednesday's practice. He has lower body soreness in addition to a wrist injury.

I have a feeling this is more serious then the Stars make it seem...

    No kidding.

First it was a suspected concussion.
Then they say nooo it's not a concussion it's just a wrist injury, he won't miss long.
Then they say oops, he's probably not gonna play Thursday he actually has a LBI too.

Tomorrow they'll probably say ooh no he actually just has the stomach flu.

LOL! But seriously it's kind of ridiculous... If he can't even shoot or pass atm, how the heck is he going to play tomorrow or the weekend for that matter! I have an offer sitting for him, which I am soooo tempted to accept. 1st + 3rd for Benn.

The way NHL teams hide injuries or, even worse, provide false information really annoys me. I know they want to "protect" the player and that the player has certain privacy rights, but let's be real for a minute. The NHL is a business and the fans of the NHL make or lose money on gambling (including fantasy hockey, pro line, etc.) and we also buy tickets to see certain players play. If Benn is going to be injured, maybe I don't buy a ticket to go to a Dallas hockey game when they are visiting my home town.

Other sports have accepted this fact and disclose injuries openly and honestly so that the consumer has all the necessary information when making a decision to "buy" the product.
