    HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Mark my words he will be out for a few more games... I think I have to pull the trigger here. Not to mention do you guys think that Benn will lose his LW eligibility for next season on yahoo? Seeing how he is officially a C now and never plays the wing... If so he loses a shit load of value in my opinion! My league runs on yahoo, anyone know the process they take to decide position eligibilities?

In my 10 + years using Yahoo for Fantasy I have yet to see a player loose eligibility.

    He should remain a C/LW

I was coming here to type this exact same thing...

they sometimes add eligibility part way through a season, but they don't remove a player's positional eligibility until the offseason

you'd be totally screwed if they took away the top LWer you drafted in a league that requires positions
    12 team, H2H, salary cap
    1 pt/G or A, 2 pts/W, 1 pt/OTL, 1 pt/SO

    Forward: B. Point, M. Necas, A. Debrincat, T. Zegras, J. Bratt, L. Raymond
    Defense: J. Morrissey, A. DeAngelo, S. Gostisbehere, D. Doughty
    Goalie: T. Demko, E. Merzlikins
    Bench: M. Rossi, C. Glass, M. Maccelli, M. Dumba, K. Shattenkirk, F. Andersen
Prospects of Note: L. Stankoven, J. Lekkerimaki, D. Yurov, B. Clarke

League has been running continuously since 1997-98

Thanks, makes me feel much better to hear that! His LW eligibility is what makes him so valuable in my league, seeing how LW is sooooooo shallow. Still might trade him for 1st + 3rd hmmmm.

    By throwing darts while blindfolded.

Seriously though, they never take eligibility away during the season, but may during the off-season. I have witnessed that.

Plus it has gotten out of hand with the dual eligibility thing. They overcompensated in recent years for not providing it in the past. I have a feeling in the next year or two, they will be removing some of the dual eligibilities they have handed out recently.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

last year sharp was lw,c,rw. this year he started out as c,rw; the lw was added just recently. also i think that carter was c/rw last year but this season he was a c, then rw was added later.

hypothetically speaking, if the stars were to put benn on the ir, when would he be allowed to play again?

Seven days from the date he's placed on IR. They can also make it retroactive to the date of the injury, but in this case that was last Saturday so no point in making it retro. If they did put him on IR now it's because they don't see any chance of him returning next week.

It's always retroactive, isn't it? There's a benefit to it, because if he's ready in the middle of next week he can play, whereas if it was 7 days from right now, he couldn't play in the middle of next week.

It can be retro, and teams will use that whenever possible, but that isn't always the case. It's more for when they know I guy is only going to be out a short period of time, but they have say a back-to-back coming up and need a fresh extra body.

Jamie Benn's (wrist) status for Saturday's game hasn't been determined.
Benn was on the ice Friday, but didn't use his injured wrist much. "We’ll see tomorrow," Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. "He didn't shoot any pucks today, so we’ll see how he is at the morning skate and we’ll make a decision after that."
