What's wrong with him? After a nice start he seems to be doing brutal! He plays pp sh and still not putting up points?

I cut him and don't miss him at all. Will chip in the occasional PP point but so will his replacement.

I am not sure about that. He is a 40 point d based on 82 games. He has a proven track record with SJ, Tampa and Philadelphia. He, just like every other Lightning player is slumping right now. He will come back a produce again at a 40 point pace. Just be patient

I think Hedman is outplaying him at the moment. Generally has first crack at PP before Carle now. But i think playing second pair D is Carle's strength anyway

im not sure how stamkos and stloius can be both in the top 3 in scoring and you think they are slumping, carle is a 35-40pt d, he is playing as good as he can!

You are correct, St. Louis and Stamkos are not slumping, but guys like Vinny are. My point is exactly like you said, Carle is a 35-40 point d-man. Treat him as such and you won't be disappointed. If you have him don't trade him because he is slumping. He will come back to his usual numbers. In my pool, a 35-40 point d man is good.

I hope the optimists are correct because he sure is useless, more than five minutes of PP time tonite with some of the best players in hockey, and zilch. I'm amazed they keep putting him out there.

Can any1 explain his sudden hot streak? My team in dire straits, any reason for this outburst that would justify me starting him over Chara (4 games, 2 at home vs weak teams) or Kronwall?

I thought it was useless to open a new thread, so I'm posting here. But what do you think is Carle's future going forward? Is he now a third-pair dman behind the other left shooters Hedman and Garrison with very little or no PP time at all?
Next year I'll dump him for Ceci anyway (assuming that he appears in at least 11 NHL games to reach the prospect limit in our league) but I may as well do it now (or try to trade him for a late prospect draft pick) and replace him for the next 12 months with a FA d-man (available are e.g. Campbell, Greene, Demers, Maatta, Martinez, De Keyser etc etc)
