    Default Erik Johnson or Jared Spurgeon

    Which one should I take? I have the option to get rid of Johnson and pick up Spurgeon or just keep Johnson.....

    Er....keep Johnson. Underrated dman who you probably shouldn't expect 40 pts from but he's teh best dman on the team by a mile and with ROR/Landeskog back, who knows what happens with his offense.

    I like Spurgy but he's never gonna be a big offensive guy and is not the clear cut #2 dman on the team let alone 1st.

    agreed...while EJ may be an albatross he will get his chances to succeed.

    On pace for 7 points in a full 82 game season will do that to your value.

    I'm personally not giving up on Erik Johnson just yet. Even in a one-year league, which this pretty much is given you only keep 1

    EJ for sure, he wasn't picked 1st overall for no reason.

    That said, I really like how Spurgeon is coming around this year, and wouldn't be surprised if he puts up a 40-pt pace in the 2nd half of the shortened season, the Wild PP is slowly starting to gel and if they really get going he'll benefit as the PP1 option with Suter. He's shooting at a 2SOG/game clip, to boot.

    Still, can't see dropping EJ for him.
