    Default Tarasenko or J. Schultz

For the league in my sig, we each keep a rookie. We can keep the player designated in the rookie position through the duration of the league (which is important).

I already have Tarasenko on my squad, but I am considering trading for Justin Schultz.

It would cost me a couple picks next year (maybe a 2nd and 3rd, or a 2nd and a stud dman, etc). Is Schultz worth trading for as compared to just keeping Tarasenko?

I think having both Karlsson and Schultz would be a solid defense core, but the upside of Tarasenko is also intriguing (aside from his concussion and the Blues scoring by committee).

What are your thoughts? Try and snag Schultz before his price is too high or stick with Tarasenko? Who would be more valuable going forward over the next 3 years?

    Any input is appreciated.

I own both players and, while Tarasenko's concussion is troubling, I firmly believe he is the real deal and can be very fantasy relevant even on STL. I love Schultz as well and think he will flourish in EDM, but sincce you have to trade for him vs. keeping Tarasenko I would stick with Vlad the Sniper...

So the deal works out to Schultz for Tarasenko + (maybe a 2nd and 3rd, or a 2nd and a stud dman, etc)?

No way. That sounds like a bad deal to me.
