We'll be getting alot of coverage on this over the next few days in the local papers/radio shows and news here in Vancouver. I'm interested as a Canuck fan, but I'll update owners who probably are hoping to sneak him into their lineups for end of seasons and head to head playoff matches.

Ryan Kesler will get another scan on his broken right foot on Monday.
Kesler is still on crutches and wearing a walking boot so the scan on Monday should definitely let the Canucks know how close or far away he is from returning to action. He was originally diagnosed to be out four-six weeks and it has already passed the four week mark so the Canucks may be a little concerned heading towards the trade deadline Wednesday. Stay tuned as Vancouver will be in trouble down the middle if Kesler's foot is not healing properly.

Without Kessler, the Canucks offense is terrible. They simply don't score. The Sedins have sucked this year since he has been down. Edler has been bad fantasy wise this year as well. It's amazing that one player can make the team that much better.
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Nothing has changed with the 1st line... and yet... perhaps the presence...or lack there of, is enough to stiffle a usually forcefull Offense.

How much of a factor (if at all) do you feel the uncertainty in Net and the potential "CLOUD" that lingers while this situation continues to drag out may play?

Ugh, just came on here and was going to ask for an update...well, that sucks.

Just lost Crosby, and I've had Kesler stashed on IR hoping I could activate him this week (my playoffs start today).

Should I bother keeping him? I also have Letang taking up my other IR spot.

Or is the point moot? I could just cut him, and cut Crosby? My playoffs ends 4/27. What's the chance either are back before then?

Depending on Kesler's injury, I could see him coming back before the season ends.

If he had not setbacks he should be back in a couple weeks.

As far as Crosby goes, I'd guess a broken jaw would keep him out 3 weeks and then he's back with a full cage

Asked #canucks AGM Laurence Gilman about the results of Kesler's recent CT scan and he gave me a thumbs up. Kesler could be back in a week.

This story has a quote from Gillis re Kesler (from yesterday) "we expect Ryan to skate today... expect him to play within a week"

    http://thecanuckway.com/2013/04/01/c...within-a-week/

Sorry to ask trade advice in this thread, but would I be stupid to trade Halak for Kesler (league in my sig)? Both are now injury-prone.

    D(min5,max9): G 8pts; A 5pts; +/- 4pts
    G(min2,max3): W 9pts; OTL 5pts; SO 4pts
    extra points for PPP
