No, both those players are more valuable than Kesler at the moment.

With everything that's gone on with Kesler injury wise you can probably knock him down a lot of pegs on your draft list. He will be easy to re-draft.

Who will be back first him or Spezza? I've owned both and it hasn't been good. Thought I was solid up the middle on draft day.

Spezza IF Kesler is to miss time... He has been playing with the fracture for the past few games. He is a band-aid boy, but he is also tough as nails...He may even play on with the injury and skip a game here and there.

however, if Kesler does go on the IR, I would expect to see Speazza come back sooner than later as he is already skating (+ light workouts).

From everything I have read they are shutting him down until he is healed. AV said yesterday in his presser that the typical recovery period is 4-6 weeks but can be a little sooner depending on the nature of the fracture. There is no indication that he will play through the injury.

It hasn't even been 3 weeks, I wouldn't expect much for another couple at least.

He played 5 or 6 games with it already... I was just seeing if he feels like coming back early. He has to be dying to get in the game. That and I only have another week and a half to make any moves prior to playoffs.

From today's Vancouver Sun (March 30):

Centre Ryan Kesler ( broken foot) remains on crutches and in a walking boot more than four weeks after his fourto six- weeks diagnosis. “He’s in that same window,” said Vigneault. “I think he’s having another CT scan here after Easter.”
