Default [Cage Match Tournament] #2 Tarasenko vs. #6 Silfverberg

UH OH! It's the quarterfinals of the Cage Match Rookie Tournament!

If you missed the opening round do not fret because you can still help choose the champion. Hopefully you know the drill with these but just in case let's brake it down. Each week there will be four matchups for you to choose a winner. The winner moves on to the next round. The last player standing is the top rookie.

The criteria for you to vote on are simple:

    - No goalies

    - No defensemen

    - No positions

    - Points only keeper league with one caveat - Don't be a perpetually rebuilding knucklehead. No one has ever won a fantasy league with just potential so value this season ABSOLUTELY matters. I cannot stress this enough.

    Vote your hearts out!

#1 Nail Yakupov vs. #4 Mikhail Grigorenko
#2 Mikael Granlund vs. #3 Alex Galchenyuk
#1 Jonathan Huberdeau vs. #4 Cory Conacher

Right now, if we are talking about helping out for this year, this is probably closer then most expect. Tarasenko started out hot and Silfverberg was slow out of the gate. Now their situations seemed to have flipped flopped. Tarasenko slowed down (injured now) and Silfverberg has turned it on.

I voted Tarasenko because I think over the season he will be the better player.

Tarasenko for me too. I like Silfverberg and have him on my roster, but I'd jump over my wife and kick my pets out of the way to click the accept button if anyone ever offered me Tarasenko for him.

Tarasenko will recover from his concussion, that has become a Fox News worthy buzzword. I wonder if there is a single hockey player in any competitive league in the world who has not suffered a concussion in their career.

Even if Tarasenko misses 15 games, and only scores at a half-PPG pace when he comes back, he'd still end up with 20 points.... I'm not sure Silf will beat that number this year. I like him long-term but for this year he might be in tough to score. Long-term this isn't even a contest it's Tara by a good margin.
