Default Who Would You Drop (REP)?

I have Franzen on the IR and he's due to come back tomorrow, so I need to drop a player from the roster in my signature TONIGHT.

Looking for advice (and reasons why) on who to drop.

I'm thinking a forward and I'm leaning toward one of Clowe, Wilson, Tanguay or Stastny right now.

    Thoughts?

Tough choice... but I don't feel like Wilson is going to keep the pace up.. he dropped off the face of the planet last year after a hot start.
Tanguay hasn't been anything special but solid and consistant
Clowe is good for 30 PIM in spurts but SJ's offense hasn't been great of late
And Stastney.. he is the most talented but Colorado is a complete mess right now and he is part of the problem.

I would really have to say Stastney at this point due to his production. Your team looks loaded and I wouldn't hesitate to drop the most under performing player in this case.

Ima stick with the theme of track-record, which is what you're doing with Franzen, and say Wilson is the odd man out. Too had you can't wait it out and just throw Steen on IR. He may be headed there after yesterday's news.

Yep Wilson for me as well. We always see things like this for guys in Nashville. They haven't had a consistent top point producer in......ever.

Keep Tanguay and Stastny. It's down to Clowe and Wilson, but I while I believe that Wilson has a real shot at out pointing Clowe for the season, I like what Clowe beings in the way of scoring in other areas, and thus I keep Clowe and drop Wilson.

Wilson would be my drop as well. Clowe has been much more consistent whereas Wilson is just finding his game at the NHL level. Clowe also provides much more in the way of peripheries than Wilson.

Basically, I think that Clowe has been underachieving and Wilson has been overachieving. Both will normalize somewhat, but Clowe will get better and Wilson will get worse.

Honestly, I'd drop Tom Gilbert. He's been invisible on the stat sheet in his last 5 games (only 1 assist and 3 shots in those 5 games).
I'd also drop him because he's probably the easiest to pick back up, should Steen go on IR.
But if you HAVE to drop a forward, then I'd drop Colin Wilson.

i would tend to agree with this one, Gilbert is a plug. But if you need to drop a Fwd, CWilson gets my nod as well.

Yes, definetely Gilbert and then Wilson. Cats are in Clowe's favour, Stastny will turn it around.

    Thanks for the responses guys.

I ended up dropping Wilson. The comments about Gilbert are 100% spot-on. Gilbert is obviously the weakest player on my roster, but I just traded away Kulikov leaving me with only six D in a start five league. Dropping Gilbert would leave me with only five and I'd be benching forwards a lot. Still, I liked seeing that idea brought up.

Regardless, thank you all. I dished out all the rep I can give for now. I'll circle back tomorrow and get the rest of you.

I agree. Stastny looks bad this year, and I don't see him getting back to his potential. Colin Wilson is worth the roll of the dice. I've watched him alot this year and because of his role with Nashville and his progression, I think he can maintain his production.
