Default Would you drop Burns for any of these defensemen?

    Roster/league format in sig.

    The following defensemen are available:

    - P Martin (2g 10a)
    - J Pitkanen (1g 5a, +8)
    - S Voynov (2g 4a, +9)
    - J. Bouwmeester (3g 4a)
    - B. Coburn (1g 4a 35pim)
    - J. Garrison (low numbers, but lots of SOG... upside is there)

Should I make a move? Or continue to be patient with Burns?

I think the only one you can really consider is Pitkanen. I'd give Burns a little more time and see how Pitkanen responds after his injury

EDIT: I don't know enough about Martin's current situation but i've never trusted him for offence in the past but maybe something has changed

Since Burns return the Sharks as a team hasnt scored very much, see if they can build upon their victory against the blues and start producing again. If Burns isnt on the score sheet by then I would go with the hot hand Martin/Garrison or who ever it might be.

Martin has been fantastic of late, and it seems he might be able to keep it up because the Pens are giving him prime minutes, and with the teams the Pens have all he needs to do is touch the puck, and with the like of Crosby, Malkin, and Neal it's not to tough to get a point. But I'm very high on Burns and have faith in him to turn it around, I'd hang onto him for no, but losing out on Martin, believe it or not could really hurt. I know it doesn't seem sustainable for Martin, but for some reason I wouldn't be surprised if he were to sustain pace.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have room for both of them!

Its obvious that Burns hasnt been the Brent Burns we are used to seeing. He is slow coming out of the gate after his recovery. Seeing as there is a few decent options on your waiver wire, and Burns wont be a keeper for you anyways, I'd probably drop him for Paul Martin.

If you're taking a run at it this season, I'd make the move to drop Burns and add Martin. But if you're not looking to put your team potentially over the top this season, I'd hang onto Burns.

Something is definitely up with him, but I still believe that he can get this turned around at some point this season. If you're not gunning for a championship, you could benefit from exercising patience to see if Burns can start to regain his old form. If he does, you'd likely have a player for whom you can get a nice return in a deadline deal to a team looking to solidify itself for the run, or to a team looking to stock the shelves for next year.

If I'm re-tooling with an eye towards next season, Burns is precisely the type of player that I'm waiting for a "this year" owner to get impatient with so I can scoop him up off the wire and wait for next season.

Default Who to start next week Paul Martin or the Wiz?

Don't know why I posted this here. But I would add Martin over Burns.
