The Ottawa Senators revealed that Craig Anderson's condition seems to be improving, although he didn't skate on Sunday.
Considering how well Ben Bishop and Robin Lehner have played in Anderson's absence, Ottawa probably isn't clamoring for Anderson's return as much as people expected when he went down with an injury. It's unclear how soon he might come back.

They are currently 6th in the east. If they stay as is... they would be in the playoffs.

That said, to sell bishop at the deadline would be for either:
    a) some large package/offer... (doubtful, for you a young backup)
    or
    b) to get help to make a playoff run (buyers).

He is an RFA and they have no real incentive to move him.

If anything, they aren't buyers OR sellers at deadline...

I'm wondering the same thing... super tempted to drop Scrivens for Lehner if Anderson's going to be out another couple of weeks (team in sig).

Not that you where asking me...but I wouldn't be too quick to drop skrivy for Lehner (unless you have unlimited waiver moves). If Anderson comes back tomorrow...or even by the weekend, seems as if Lehner will find himself sent back down. Skrivy is here to stay.

UNLESS...Either team makes a Goal Tending Move i.e. Toronto brings one in / Ottawa sends one out...that could directly impact Lehner or Skrivy. End of day, neither will be #1's this year. But you won't be keeping either anyway.

Less Risk for Skrivy being send down/anywhere than Lehner at the moment is what I'm getting at.

Don't think you'll see him any time soon. They don't really need him right now.

Thanks! Seeing him put up good numbers right now is super tempting though.

Any updates? I wonder if he will play any of the 4 games Ottawa has next week.

For the love of Peter, is this a "slight" ankle sprain or a HIGH ankle sprain... WTF?!

Playoffs start in my league next week, and so our trade/roster move deadline is Saturday! I have a team that can make a run - even without Karlsson... BUT, I am sucky in nets... any word on Anderson at all?? I can't find anything.

If no news, can someone please help me out:

    Niemi
    Anderson
Halak (recently traded for him as buy low, but STL has just 2 games next week, I won't be rewarded for this move until the second round and finals)
Ellis (I have him because I dropped Ward)

Do I run with these 4 goalies and hope Anderson returns for games next week, or should I drop one and pick-up Lehner or Bishop? And Lehner or Bishop? This is for this year only...in fact, make that 5 weeks only! ha!

One and done would kill me!

Here's something I just found from Edmonton Sun:

Hit especially hard has been the team’s back end. Goalie Craig Anderson, who was supposed to only miss two or three games with a sprained ankle, has been out a month and is not yet even practicing. His absence prompted a question earlier this week that had to be asked — is Anderson going to play again this year?

“I was hoping by now,” said MacLean. “We expect he’ll be back to play. Obviously right now, I can’t tell you when. But we expect that he’ll be able to play, yes.”

Anyone closer to the team that can give some insight to the status of Anderson? I have until noon tomorrow to decide what to do with him for my playoffs.

Man, those high ankle sprains suck. I laughed when it happened and they said..."day to day". I hate to say it....but if you need to know now...sit him and look elsewhere. It doesn't sound like he's even that close yet.

I'd say a minimum of 2 more weeks....still movi ng around 'gingerly' on ice during morning skates:

Anderson has been going down gingerly here. He isn't ready. #Sens

    Yeesh.
Anderson was my rock goalie in one of my roto pools.
To compound matters, the guy that passed me in Saves has both Bishop/Lehner.

If Anderson was healthy, I'd probably have Saves locked up.

That's tough to watch. I'm still amazed the Sens keep winning. Their trio of starters is pretty unreal.
