    Default MLB Keeper Format (REP)

Anyone feel like giving their input would be much appreciated.

I've been in a few yearly MLB leagues but never a keeper. Well that changes this year....it's going to be the continuation of a football and hockey keeper with the same guys...so it's intense.

Here are the proposed cats and roster sizes...seriously any input would be great cuz Im not too sure what to think...

    My main questions....

    1. Doesn't the starting lineup AND the total roster size seem a little big even for an 8 team league?

    2. What about the categories?? Not sure which way to go....

    8 team league ...Keep 12-15
    6X6 categories

Batters - R, HR, RBI, SB
The vote is the last two categories.
    1. OBP & Slugging
    2. Avg & OPS (on base + slugging)

Pitchers - ERA, Whip, Holds, Saves, K/9
Vote: Win or QS for last category.

    Rosters
    Batters - C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, IF, 4OF, 2 Util
    Pitchers - 4SP, 4RP, 4P
    Bench - 6 or 8.
    DL - 5

The total leagues roster is going to be smaller than 99% of fantasy leagues, you need many starting spots and you are still going to have a deep free agent pool. I'd vote 2 for the hitting and the pitching doesn't matter
I'd also suggest using 2 catchers and playing just an AL or NL only league, 8 team mixed leagues don't seem as fun as 1 league or the other with that few teams. better yet, play both AL & NL only leagues

I'm in an 8 team league and we have roster sizes set to like 30 or 32 players. It's nuts. A lot of fun in one way, but it doesn't force anyone to make any tough decision either. Everyone's got superstars.

I'm not sure what to say for the cats. I'm a point-league junkie now! lol

That's one of my concerns with the roster being so big. With that many batter and pitcher spots when will someone ever have to really make a tough call based on who to put in.....will be pretty rare.
