Read suffered an upper body injury during Wednesday's game against the Penguins and will not return.
Spin: Read exited late in the first period after a hit from Pittsburgh's Chris Kunitz. The Flyers play again Thursday, but until more information regarding the injury becomes available, consider Read day-to-day and questionable to go against Florida.

Good News Maybe:
There's some speculation that Matt Read (upper body) will be available to play Thursday night.
The Flyers did not have a morning skate since they played the night before, but some injured players and healthy scratches did hit the ice, including Tye McGinn. McGinn has been a healthy scratch of late due to Harry Zolnierczyk and his presence on the ice could mean that Read will play after leaving Wednesday night's game early due to an upper-body injury. GM Paul Holmgren hasn't provided an update on Read's status, so nothing is certain yet.
