    Guy's pretty much the only bright spot on the Island aside from maybe Streit. Has to play with crap now and in the near future. He needs to ask for a trade ASAP. The team will forever be mediocre.

    Could be worse... he could be an Oiler. Or a Leaf.

    I don't see him as that kinda guy (granted I didn't see Oreilly as that kinda guy so...there's that)

    He seems to like being the go-to guy (like Stammer) and has developed a nice chemistry with Moulson. Also the Isles are finally doing the right thing in letting their prospects develop like Strome and Reinhart so there's heaps of good players coming their way.

    We've been hearing about players coming in for a long time when it comes to Long Island. I hate Strome so I'm biased but he's not going to take any weight off Tavares shoulders. Also not a fan of Reinhart and don't think they have any solid defensemen in the system other than him and Hamonic. The only reason the Isles have a decent future is Johnny T.

    he was the best player on the ice tonight yet his teammates couldn't bury a damn thing. reminds me of Lebron in Cleveland.

    I don't know if the Islanders and Tavares would be my first examples of why the league has too many teams but they would definitely be up there.

    I was thinking that JT must love the New York lifestyle. Why else would he sign such a long deal with the club? You never hear him complain about how crappy his team is or how he hates to lose all the time. I think he his content in collecting his big paycheck and living the dream in New York.

    i think it might be the opposite, that if he was playing in New York as opposed to Long Island, where it is quieter, smaller, and less pressure, he might not have signed a long-term deal. This is depending on what kind of person he is and I don't know who he is. Long Island is quite a bit different than Manhattan.

    Let's not lump Matt Moulson in with the rest of the plugs in that top-6. 30-goal seasons on the reg and great chemistry with JT. Frans Nielsen is a serviceable second line center.

    However, I have no idea how Brad Boyes sticks on that top line with JT & MM. The guy is brutal, pretty much everything he does is a turnover and he kills whatever momentum a PP has whenever he touches the puck. I guess when Okposo is the competition, your job is pretty much safe.

    as a JT owner, I wouldn't mind a change in scenery...hmmm, wonder if he wants to come to PHI.

    moulsen = boyes

    it is actually a perfect comparison and a very evident one if you watch the islanders play.

    they are essentially the same player. they are both entirely useless everywhere on the ice except in the slot and both can put up 30 goals with JT.
