I'd would definitely be keeping Tavares.
Hmm. I'm not sure I'd take this deal either, but I'd definitely be interested in more details to evaluate (like what's your timeframe for competing, how is your team currently constructed and doing in terms of points/PIMS, etc.).
Of course, Tavares is the premiere player here, but Yak is loaded with upside on an up and coming team, and Subban is a huge asset in a points and PIMs league. Depending on the answers to the questions above, I'd not dismiss this as the foundation of a possible deal that could be quite nice for you.
