Default Kes back - Brunner or Tarasenko out REP

    Kesler is back baby..
who is bottom of the totem pole now on my team?
I picked up brunner 2 days ago so it seems like a shame to just boot him, and tarasenko has slowed down a bit.
who is the real deal for the rest of the year?

bonus question: I want to grab an IR free agent to stash away.. gabriel lando or ray whitney?
i'm leaning towards whitney as who knows how long lando will be out for

My vote is for Brunner. Due to the ice time he is getting.

I own both and if I had to drop one I think I would sooner give Brunner the boot. In fact there was a time earlier this season where I was in the process of making a trade and the reason it did not go through is because I was only willing to add Brunner while the opposing owner wanted Tarasenko thrown in, but that was earlier into the season when Tarasenko was hot. This comes down to preference, to me Tarasenko has a higher potential, while Brunner is safer. It sucks to lose either, but I would drop Brunner.

I would add Landeskog before Whitney, because I got a feeling Landeskog will return before Whitney will, I also believe that he carries a greater amount of trade value, which could come in handy.

I would go the safer route, keep Brunner and drop Tarasenko. Tarasenko's ice time is down to 12:09 as of last game and STL has so many other threats.

Both of those guys are really good players it be a shame to drop them. I would try to trade them away and get an upgraded player. Try to trade both in a 2-1 deal.

I would take Whitney for your IR spot, in a points only league he holds more value than Lando.

    I'd drop Brunner.

His ice-time is trending downwards too.
When the season opened, DET went with a Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Brunner line to kick-start Z & Pav. Since then, maybe 4 or 5 games in, they split up Z & Datsyuk to their own lines. This makes for slightly less ice time and slightly less production for Brunner.

In other words, he was due for a drop-off in production... especially with Franzen injured too.

I wouldnt write off Brunner just yet. He has put up points in 9 of the teams 13 games which is pretty consistant for a rookie. In his last game he had a Season high 20:06 of ice time including 4:49 on the Power Play. He may not have games where he will get you 2 or 3 points but he will get you points in 3 out 4 games.

I would drop tarasenko. The blues offense is more spread out than the red wings

man I am having a tough time with this decision!
Tarasenko was so good early on, but hitch has cut his minutes! and Brunner is getting lots of playing time and is just plugging away getting points

my gut is saying brunner will have a better opportunity… fuuuuuuu.

Brunner for sure. Top line, #1 pp minutes, points will be consistent. Taresenko, no denying his skill and talent, however limited ice time and opportunity. Taresenko will have more hot and cold streaks compared to Brunner.

Brunner all the way, he is getting the ice time, not to mention he is a bit older so shouldn't slow down as much like a young Tarasenko would (even tho he was molesting men in Russia).

Blues score alot, and I no longer believe they will just be a bunch of top 6/9 fowards getting under average points, as you are now seeing quite a few players racking up alot of points. Unfortunately Tarasenko isn't ready to be one of those 6.
