I know a lot of people on here won't care about his fantasy value because he didn't really have much, but damn this is sad. Manny is being shut down for the year

Couldn't have said it better myself. I hope he can get well and live a healthy life. Sucks to see such a good guy and quality NHL player have his career cut short and his life altered from such a freak accident.

Mckenzie mentioned on Twitter that it's being said that his vision isn't at a good enough level for him to safely play the game. He also hinted on Tuesday night that he believes Malhotra may be having some more serious issues head-wise. That last bit is speculation on his part, which is pretty much all the insiders do.

We'll miss him in the faceoff circle that's for sure, but you've got to simply wish the guy all the best. Life and health have to come before hockey. Here's to hoping he can fully recover.
