Stats may not have shown it but a GAA of 2.63 & A sv% OF .917 & 7SO on that team(2009-10) was exceptional.

Ofcourse I dont expect him to keep this years stats up but hes a pretty solid Goalie

No I remember he was stellar that season but he definitely slowed down in the second half, which is exactly the sort of let down I'd be afraid of in trading for him.

-He's signed until 2014-15 at a very reasonable cap hit of 3.1m/yr.

-The core of the team will be intact next year. Why wouldn't they keep Anderson around for the next 2 seasons to help build a serious contender.

If he's a UFA they trade him, but for that cap hit for 2 more years there's no way he moves.
You're right, and thank you for being sane. Taken time to cool down over this rattling injury but I'm seeing the light now.

I think Anderson stays.. Because what happens next year when the Sens are going for it?? Lehner seems to be a good young goalie, but I don't think he is ready for a full season just yet.. I also feel Bishop gets dealt..

The Sens will at least evaluate for the next month.

An organization has to show faith in all parts of itself until its failure is clear.

    BUMP.

I have to give it to the Senators as a franchise.
They gave their injury-depleted team a shot to make the playoffs and they did it!!!
I'll be rooting for the Sens in the playoffs - I love to see a group of guys pull off the feat that the Sens did during this regular season.

    Do. not. give. up. hope.

    Well done Sens... well done!!!!!

A lot more goes into a team than 1 or 2 star caliber players. I really like the team that Ottawa has built for itself. In my opinion they have one of the better forward groups in the league (top to bottom).

It's posts like this that make it very unsurprising why I have a reputation for shitty goalie advice.

    It speaks for itself.

Is it still fairly certain that he's going to be traded this offseason?
