    Default Jacob Markstrom Call up

When are the Panthers going to call this guy up? He has a .923 Save % and the veterans are not getting the job done. He is 23 years old now...time to give him a shot?

I would have thought it would have already happened. There must be something up that the general public doesn't know about.

If I'm Florida GM Dale Tallon... I think I'm secretly wishing for a top two pick in the 2013 entry draft.
Put that piece together with the stinky Florida goaltending situation.

this has been discussed a few times...

Going into the season Florida's plan was to leave him in the AHL the entire season unless unforseen circumstances happen... (injuries)

The idea is to give Markstrom 60-70 games with limited inturuptions... as he has not had a full eventlesss season in north america since he has come over...

They would then move forward next season....

so him staying down is every expected and should not be questioned by us...

That said I can see a trade or a recall happening at or after the deadline for him to come up...

Until such a move happens... its really no point to discusss... This is just 'The Plan' and is not noteworthy... I illuded to it many months ago when writing his profile....

Apparently, Dineen is hellbent against it.
