Trading for a goalie in a keeper (REP)

My goalies suck balls right now. I have Hiller (WTF) Had Timmy T (who boned me as he was my best goalie), and now I'm left with Pavelec, Theodore, Lindback, and just picked up the 'Bulin Wall to try to get something going. I'm almost in last in all goalie categories as you would guess, but I'm still in 4th place out of 12 teams as my offense is amazing.

One guy in our league has Rask, Howard, Dubnyk, and Reimer. I don't trust Reimer, but I'd be willing to trade for any of the other three. I doubt he's willing to trade Rask, but what would be a fair trade for any of them with my players? He could use some more solid young offense as he's building up a strong core and he's just behind me in the standings so we could both benefit from a trade.

You may not like Reimer, but I think he'd be the easiest to trade for off that GM's group.
I would try for Howard 1st, but counter with a Reimer offer if he doesnt bit.

Question tho 1st is - How many guys do you start each week in each position? Where can you afford to trade from(position wise)?

I would try Thornton, Keith and Pavalec for Rask + a filler on D
Thornton is at his MAX output now; he can only go down (I think he will finish with a point per game at the end of the year). Keith is a good but you won't lose out much with the filler.

Keep Hiller, he will bounce back. Losing Pavalec is a bummer, but you would not have kept him anyways (Galchenyuk for Thornton, Rask for Pavalec). Note: you may need a bit more to pry him out of the other owner's hands if he's keen on keeping him...

I've tried offering B. Schenn, Hall, and Theodore as I can afford that keeper wise as I need goaltending badly.

I'm guessing Fasth has been picked up by someone else? If not you should be jumping on that.

I think trading for Reimer is the best idea, as to me he's the number one guy for the Leafs, and obviously he would be the easy one to acquire, and probably won't come at the highest of prices. But before I try that, I would put some time into trying to make a deal work to get Howard from him, not sure how it will play out, but it's a good idea to try.

If he wants young players then maybe offer up Galchenyuk along with Pavelec and D like Keith? He gets young talent in Galchenyuk, a good young goalie to replace Rask and an upgrade on D with Keith. Then you can ask for a F or D in return. Good luck!
