The quote I was told (by an agent) while discussing Anaheim's future was.....
"Getzlaf's deal is all but done, he should sign in the next week, and Perry is 100% going to Toronto"
This was after the Detroit Edmonton game at Joe Lewis on Feb 9th.
Getzlaf's deal was announced about 1 month after and not "in a week or so". Pure luck, coincidence or some knowledge?
When he said '100% going to Toronto' I thought that was pure bullshit. So many things can go wrong for it to be 100%. What I did take away from it was Perry wants to end up in Toronto, whether or not that actually happens is a different story
