    Default What do I do with Carter

    League and team details are in my signature.

    Four points so far this year. He is getting decent minutes with Richards and Gagne. He is getting top PP time with Kopitar, Richards, Brown, and Doughty. I can't get any bites on trading him. So do I drop him for someone on the waiver wire or just hold tight. He is currently warming the bench on my team with Fowler and Kipper.

    Here is what's available:

    Weiss, top PP in Fla
    Hartnell, about 2-3 weeks away, I could pick him up and stash him on the bench.
    Horton, demoted to the second unit with Marchand and Bergeron
    Jokinen, should be producing more with Kane and Wheeler
    Callahan, second line and second PP
    Hudler, ripping it up, but third line and second PP

    Dude... I feel your pain. I traded for Carter shortly after his career 40+ goal season where he ranked 12th in yahoo skaters. Since then...the turbulent rollercoaster and team shifts. To further compound my problem, I also just got Richards as a throw in (lupolesque) on a recent trade. I fear these 2 will never regain their offensive form on such a d first la kings team. I don't want to drop of let them go in the offseason...right now I'm trying to package both for an E Kane or Semin.

    Please...someone else sound in here. .... Wisdom needed

    Drop him like a Jr Hi girlfriend. Honestly, his numbers were bad last year and he's below average this year. He's a FA in my league and nobody is even noticing. You can do better with any of those guys. But when you do, first grab Hartnell and stash him on IR, then grab someone with the open spot. When Hartnell comes back you can call this a huge win. You get Hartnell + a decent player for that slug they call Carter.

    Dude...my jr high gf was soooooool hot. Now married with kids...you brought back a great memory...one I don't wish to drop any time soon. Lol

    Unfortunately in my keeper...IR means nothing. And harty boy is taken. But point made. Same take on Richards?

    I would pick up Hudler, he will score more points than any of those other guys.

    I would have done that already, but I don't have IR, just 3 bench spots. Our league has a game cap anyway, so the bench is esentially IR anyway. My bench currently has Kipper(IR), Fowler(IR), and Carter on it. So the decision really is, who is the better option for points only going forward, Hartnell, Hudler, Horton, Weiss...
