Default Parenteau hot streak or real deal?

I'm not saying hes going to do point per game all year, but do you think its a possibility that he comes close to it say 40-45 points in 48?

I am going with both, hot streak and real deal. He is playing well because he is playing with quality linemates. Same as when he was on Long Island, his linemates made him good. As long as he is playing with Duchene and McGinn, he will continue to produce at a solid rate.

im going to say real deal, duchene sucked last year and now is doing good with parenteau. Parenteau i think is underated because he played with JT. People think he just gimped off Jt and moulson instead of helped contribute. If that was the case okposo would be as good as parenteau, but okposo is not anywere near parenteau stats last year or this year.

Of course it helps to play with good linemates.

Do you think David Clarkson would have 7 goals and 12 points in 9 games if he was plying with Travis Moen and Colby Armstrong ?? Of course NO

Parenteau has a lot of skills, he has been 4 seasons over a PPG in AHL and he had season of 53 and 67 points in NHL. Colby Armstrong would not have 67 pts with Tavares and Moulson.

I think when you'll watch a complete hockey game fron Colorado you would notice that Parenteau is solid and almost the best player on the ice every shift for his team.

he has a lot of speed compare to 2-3 years ago. he has top 15-20 hands in league ans he sees the ice really really well.

i'm not surprice by his stats and performance. He will just be even better when Landeskog comes back.

It is my pure personnal opinion. This guy is solid and it is not just a good streak. I think he will reach 40 pts this season.

I'm pretty sure Parentau had more points than Datsyuk last season....an impressive stat to say the least. I'd say this guy is the real deal.

    PAP is the real deal.
    He has excellent hockey sense.

The hard part is finding enough time to watch him play 5 or 6 full games.
For those that have watched PAP play enough... I think they'd agree - you can see his hockey sense in his play.

He anticipates all the right places to be.
When you put these "types" of players together with good linemates (Tavares, etc.) they will put up great point totals. Smart players are best with other smart players.

Ive been offerd David Desharnais for him in my full keeper 30 teams G,A,PIM,PPG,SHG,+/-,GWG
im in a slight rebuild so Desharnais being 3 years younger is nice, but im not sure if hes up to Parenteau's value

Age does not always mean you will get more points from the young guys.

I would stick with Parenteau for the 3 years it takes for Desharnais to reach the "same age" and then compare stats.

I think you'll find that PAP outpoints Desharnais by a considerable margin.

And I'm not saying that because he is on my roster either

PAP is a far better fantasy hockey player than real-life one. There is a reason that Colorado signed him and not a legitimate contending team like Pittsburgh, etc... That said, for fantasy hockey, the guy will continue to put up numbers, though it is obvious that in Long Island a guy like Boyes can equally fill the space PAP did last year. They don't miss him one bit and that tells you everything you need to know about him. Going from JohnT to Duchene, PAP has to be one of the luckiest guys in the league.

Pretty much this. Fantasy wise, he is gold! I listened to people speak of him like a ww guy, but in my league he has as many points as Joe Thornton.

He'll be streaky, but the guy will produce offence in spades
