    Default Lecavalier vs. Koivu

Ive been offered Lecav for my Koivu.

    Any thoughts?

Tampa's PP has been stupid hot, but I've watched a couple Minni games and theyve looked good. Peripherally, they r pretty much a wash with lecav outhitting koivu. To me, it feels pretty much lateral with the chance that koivu will have the higher upside.

I think his production will fall - I don't think he'll maintain the 211 shooting percentage season long.

I'm tryin to think whether when his prouction normalizes if itll be better than koivus

    what is normalizing though

and who is to say that koivus production will be maintained over the course of the season

lecavalier has at least put up over 90 twice in his career while koivu has barely passed 70 once

yeah it has been awhile since lecavalier has been this good but i think he is a much better player than koivu

normalize for me is a shootin pct somewhere around 120, if he has a good year closer to 140-150

but yea, thanks i appreciate the opinion. i'd take it u'd easily pull the trigger?

only 4 of lecavaliers 11 points are goals so take 2 away for normalization and he still has 9 points

and koivu is getting assists off of parises goals

parise is shooting at a little over 17 1/2 % so when he normalizes we should see the assist totals of koivu drop as well

but yes i would do the deal

I would take Lacavelier as over Koivu. Tampa will slow down but Lecavalier looks like the one who signed a massive contract a few years back. He's getting first line PP with Stamkos and St. Louis and is playing on the 2nd line with very capable linemates (who don't get the same checking heat as the top line). I like Lecavalier's current game and his upside. Finally Koivu has injuries in his past and I'd give Lecavalier a higher chance to play 48 games this season.

    Lecavalier.

    Guy's a beaut.

    Love Koivu also.

But the goals are flowing in Tampa. I go where the goals are.
