Market for Hiller could actually be quite good considering there's only a year left on his contract. However, Anaheim has a decent amount of cap space at the moment and don't really need to trade him.

This is true, but on this and on Lucifer's point ($7.5M for 2 goalies is manageable), I would point out that Anaheim is not a cap-busting team. In fact, they are budget concious and it's unlikely they'll want $7M tied up in goalies given the money it will take to re-sign Getzlaf and/or Perry.

My guess is this is a decision made in large part because you can now get rid of $4.5M in salary next year, and the market for Hiller will be good given the limited commitment the acquiring team has to swallow.

My Capped article is going to cover this exact topic. Hiller becomes an interesting trade chip.

Actually the Ducks don't need D. Their D is very solid as it is and they have two stud D-prospects in Lindholm and Vatanen waiting an opportunity.

    New Jersey?

Basically I figure most of Hiller's possible landing spots mirror Luongo/Schneider's and Bernier's, most likely Easter conference team, etc.

Man would he look good in a Hawks uniform, though...
Marty and Moose are locked up for next year so New Jersey is out of question. They need a goalie only in the summer of 2014, not before. Hiller will be UFA that summer so if he ends up in there it's via free agency.

Washington could use a proven starting goalie like Hiller unless they're really going to roll with Holtby/Neuvirth no matter what. You have to wonder how safe Lindback is in Tampa. Hiller with a short deal would solidify their goaltending nicely for the next two years. Florida could use Hiller too.

But in the end this speculation is probably pointless as Hiller is more likely to stay in Anaheim - atleast this season. If there's a move, it'll likely happen in the offseason. Would be risky to move Hiller this season when Fasth hasn't even played 10 games so far. Ducks are in great position right now to have success this year and you need two good goalies in today's NHL.

Gibson? Isnt he like 2 yrs away? They will likely keep him until his last yr of the contract.

Frederik Andersen will arrive before John Gibson. Andersen is going to be a stud goalie. Anaheim has great goaltending situation.

I would think they keep Hiller at least to the offseason,
in this shortened season teams need a solid back up.
    the games are to condensed.

It really depends on whether or not the Ducks can continue moving forward at the rate they currently are.
If they're in playoff contention at the deadline, they're not moving anyone.
However, if they falter, it's going to be a yardsale. Hiller, possibly Perry or Getz(if they don't get resigned), Koivu, whoever....

While the Ducks have a ton of goalie talent in their system, there's no guarantee as to Andersen or Gibson. For this season, go with whichever of Hiller or Fasth is hotter and move them in the future based on what you can get back since you have other options moving forward.

My analysis on Fasth has now shifted, to will certainly get more starting opportunities, buy, to sell now or wait and see what will come, hold. I'm personally holding here. He has a top 10 level of ability.

Dragging it back on topic here for a moment, Fasth's had a good recovery game tonight thus far (only halfway into this game tho). He reminds me a lot of Vokoun. Nearly the same size, approx 5-10, INSANE speed across the crease and both use the goal stick to deflect rebounds to the corners etc. The biggest difference is that Fasth seems to be of a more calm demeanor under pressure (and he doesn't go into the butterfly as early either).

FYI, Hiller has NOT been good in his last two games, I've watched them all. He's been average, or perhaps slightly below. Rebound Control has been an issue and he's been mentally off. Moreover, the Ducks generally give up a good number of odd man rushes and Fasth is far better at dealing with those, e.g. why he's still getting more starts.

My mind is a little split on this because I like Fasth a lot but he's a small guy and will probably eventually be susceptible to top corner snipes. The really great thing that cancels that out to me is that he wants to learn and get better. I got some decent offers for him in my league, but nothing to bowl me over. Keeping him for now.
